Dr. Kathleen ShawDr. Shaw graduated from the University of Missouri – College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shaw’s father was a veterinarian and she spent her childhood riding with him to his “farm calls” which lead her to her decision to become a veterinarian. She couldn’t imagine doing anything else with her life. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is being able to help all animals and seeing the bond that they’ve developed with their owners. Her goal walking into every patient visit is to always be there for any animals needs and to make sure that the owners have all of the information and resources they need to care for their pet. Outside of work, Dr. Shaw loves being in the outdoors; she enjoys biking, cross country skiing, kayaking, hiking and reading. She lives by the saying, “life is short, so buy that book and eat chocolate.” She owns five cats, Myrtle, Adonis, Ladybug, Rumpleteezer and Tsar Ferdinand the Large. To Dr. Shaw, her cats mean unconditional love (after she’s fed them).
