Our hospital is AAHA accredited--which means we have voluntarily submitted to inspection on over 900 standards of care--to make sure we are maintaining the highest professional standards for our staff and our facilities. WHAT IS AAHA? Accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association is the only way to ensure that a veterinary practice is operating at the highest standards of excellence in animal care. Pet owners gain peace of mind when they choose an accredited practice, because they know their AAHA-accredited hospital has passed the highest standards of veterinary care.
How does AAHA accreditation impact you and your pet? It simply means that we care enough to want to do our very best for your pet–every pet, every time–and we are willing to go through the accreditation process to hold a mirror up to ourselves to make sure that we are attaining the highest standards of care for your pets. Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. Veterinary hospitals are evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence in order to become accredited. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. The Standards of Accreditation are continuously reviewed and updated to keep our accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence. The standards address patient care and pain management, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, medical records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing education. To maintain accredited status, hospitals undergo comprehensive on-site evaluations every three years. We are very proud that all of our hospitals are AAHA accredited.
